Here are a few more wedding photography tips from Essex leading wedding photographers.
Wedding photography tip No.24. What to look for in your photography package?
As a base-line, choose a package that will provide two photographers that will cover the time to shoot your preparations up to the first dance. This should then produce around 600 plus photographs. You should always remember to choose a wedding album big enough to take a larger amount of photographs as you will always want more of the very special photographs
Wedding photography tip No.25. How much should couples expect to pay for a photography package?
You would not believe the times I am asked this question. A credible experienced wedding photographer will cost no less than £675. This may seem like a lot of money; however there is a lot of time spent editing your special wedding day photographs. Beware of the Crash & Burn fraternity. These photographers will as the term says’ crash the images out and burn them to a CD for you. They are usually very cheap but then again, so is their quality. In my experience most couples want a higher degree of skill, service and commitment from their wedding day photographers
Wedding photography tip. No. 26 Do you really need two photographers?
If your wedding is small and intimate, one photographer is fine. However in the many years I have been photographing weddings, I always have an assistant / 2nd photographer there. We each have our own specialities and help each other is setting up the treasured wedding photographs, be they formal shots or as-they-happen type photographs. The new style of “Fly on the wall” photographs, that look natural are mostly set up, no matter what any wedding photographer will tell you. If you are going to wait until the bride or groom stands in the place you want and does the things you want, you’re going to waste an enormous amount of time.
