Hi, this has got to be one of my favourite wedding photographs.
This image came from a set of images I took at Dan & Carly’s wedding at The Fennes in Essex last year.
The wedding was a lovely sumptuous affair. The venue is absolutely lovely with nice a garden which truly calls out for photographs to be taken in. With a wedding venue of this calibre what else do you need? The weather…
For a week previous to the big day, the heavens had opened with frustrating regularity. On the wedding day, the grounds were lovely, but wet. So wet that the bride would sink into the grass if she tried to walk onto it. This caused a some problems as the bride had particularly wanted some photographs in front of the bridge over the lake. With the grass being in a condition no high heels could walk onto, I took all the outside photographs in the front on the main building as it had a hard floor. However, I did venture onto to quagmire and shot the photos our bride wanted, minus of course the happy couple
The sky was grey and dark and really not very pleasant but it’s a photograph that had to be taken and anything / everything can be changed in the editing stage.
After the wedding I fed all the photographs into the computer and created the photograph above. I removed the happy couple from in front of the main building, and pasted them onto the photograph of the lake and in front of the bridge.
Our clients were absolutely delighted with this which in turn made my partner and I happy as well. There is an old saying “The camera doesn’t lie”. These days it does nothing else but lie.
